The Dholera DSIR will see Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) establish a semiconductor fabrication facility as part of the Modified Scheme for establishing Semiconductor Fabs in India. With an investment exceeding Rs. 91,000 crore, this facility will mark the country’s first commercial semiconductor fabrication plant. Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is also planning to set up the OSAT facility in Morigaon, Assam, under the Modified Scheme for Semiconductor Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging (ATMP), with an investment close to Rs 27,000 crore. Similarly, CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited is developing the Sanand OSAT facility under the same scheme, investing about Rs 7,500 crore.
